For 40 years, Lavi has provided comprehensive, agile ways to move and track people in, through, and out of retail stores, public locations and facilities. Evolve Media developed the web site and a unique way for customers to customize their hardware and fixtures.
Background: California-based Lavi Industries has been manufacturing premium railing systems for over 40 years. The purpose of this site was to bring the brand to life and explain the vast array of products offered by Lavi.
Larger picture: The site was the main touchpoint for the company's customer base and potential clients. It needed to be comprehensive and have a way for the customers to order and customize their product selections.
To highlight Lavi's brand, we created a visual style that layers technical elements elements, over other elements in the page and in the lifestyle photography.
For their website, it was important to make all interactions feel effortless and intuitive in alignment with one of Lavi’s core values. We built the site in a modular fashion so that Lavi can scale the site as it grows while maintaining a consistent branded user experience.
Challenges: Creating a site that was delightfully interactive but also performant and lightweight. In the end, we reached our goal: we won a Site of the Day and a Developer Award on Awwwards, scoring high for performance and UX.
Time constraints: Coming into the project, we knew that one of the project constraints was going to come from the fact that they would be announcing a new product launch. A lot of the interactivity and content changes happened just weeks prior to the debut. This limited the time we had to QA the site after uploading the content to the CMS.
But this is very familiar territory in the B2B world, and even in the agency world: you are refining details up until the final hour. This iterative, agile approach is necessary when launching new projects and has become the new normal, especially at Evolve Media. It’s these daring challenges that make a successful launch that much more rewarding and the very reason that our name is “Evolve Media.” None of our clients are building their companies because it’s easy. They are doing something brave. To support their missions the best way we know how, we sometimes have to go out on a limb to make it happen. We love that, and we are super happy with the final product.
Navigation structure: We organized the site into an intuitive multi-category structure. The primary page you see at all times throughout the experience is the order page, so no matter where you are in the experience, you can order in just a few clicks.
