Los Altos Foods is a world-class producer of authentic Mexican cheese products positioned for the multicultural North American consumer market. The company has a solid track record of 24+ years of operations, during which it has built the successful Los Altos brand. The company operates one plant near Los Angeles, California, providing jobs for more than 260 employees.
Los Altos Foods wanted to design their site around a new and vibrant branding, marketing and packaging campaign. Evolve Media produced a site that adhered to the new branding guidelines while highlighting their tasty products and a myriad of custom recipes that consumers can utilize.
We worked closely with the Los Altos team as well as our collaboration with Augustin Garza of Garza Group, a long standing brand consultancy specializing in the Hispanic market.
One of the challenges was the creation of the relational database that features recipes along with the cheese or dairy product that is produced by Los Altos.
Another feature was the mulit-language model that was built so that the site could be viewed and experienced in English and Spanish, with each represented language manually entered, rather than relying on translation services like Google's. This was done so that there were no mistakes and ultimate control could be leveraged over what was represented on the website.

Sigma Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. ("Sigma"), a company dedicated to the production, marketing, and distribution of quality branded foods, announced today that it reached an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Los Altos Foods ("Los Altos"), a Hispanic Cheese and Cream producer in the United States. Financial terms were not disclosed.
